What Is The Kayak Tour?

The Yorkshire Coast is without doubt one of the most impressive coastlines located in the United Kingdom. From golden beaches, to rugged cliff tops home to an abundance of wildlife, it’s fair to say the area has it all.

Our Kayak Tours have continued to grow in popularity each year. We always start the day with some basic kayaking skills and safety tips prior to heading out. Each student will have their own sit-on- top Kayak which are designed to offer extra stability in their width. Perfect for beginners, summer days, and having fun.

Once out on the water you’ll learn all about our local history within the bay before skirting along the Jurassic Coast. You’ll navigate through Rock pool’s hosting all manner of mini beasts : urchins, crabs, whelks and periwinkles.

The local Seal population love to check what’s moving about above so keep an eye out. In the shallows you may notice passing Porpoise! They’re always hunting small fish there.

The Tour will last for a minimum of 1.5 hours so please bring some water with you.

Do you provide equipment?

We provide everything required to participate in the Tour. Sea Kayak, wetsuit, safety equipment, lockers, toilets, and full changing facilities – located at the shop.

Please remember that safety is always our number one priority and these Tours may be cancelled at short notice if it is too dangerous to go out onto the water.

When do the Kayak Tours take place?

Kayak Tours run everyday, although we are limited to four excursions daily. We recommend booking in advance due to high demand.
