Tuna Surf Camp
Our 2024 half day Tuna Surf Camps are finally back and this year we have loads more dates available! These action packed courses run for 3hrs – 4 mornings a week.
We are so lucky to have north bays blue flagged beach right on our doorstep which offers the perfect learning environment!
What is the Half Day Tuna Surf Camp?
With a focus on fun, adventure, and community, our surf camp offers an unforgettable experience that will leave your child with new skills, confidence, and memories that will last a lifetime.
Starting at 10.00am on Monday through to Thursday, each student will learn the foundational skills of surfing with all the equipment provided over a four day period. If the sea is a touch flat then we have the options of stand up paddle-boarding, kayaking, bodyboarding, and water based team building games. Safety skills are always incorporated into the lessons.
Our well established program not only produces talented surfers, but boosts both confidence and self-esteem. It is an incredible learning experience that has seen kids returning year after year to improve their surfing, make new friends and spend their school holidays on the beach.
Each student will receive:
- At least 2.5 hours of surfing instruction a day – we will always aim for more!
We do all this in a friendly environment with fully qualified Surfing England & SLSGB accredited instructors. Our coaches are first aid trained and DBS checked.
Do you provide equipment?
We provide everything required to participate in the course. Boards, wetsuits, safety equipment, lockers, toilets, and full individual changing facilities – located at the shop.

FAQ's
We recommend you bring water, a change of clothes, a bite to eat, and swim clothing.
We accept children aged 8 – 16 years.
Our Tuna Camp is tailored to all levels although we do ask that students are comfortable in waist high water. Anything further out we will provide buoyancy aids – Paddleboarding / Kayaking.
Lifejackets will be used for Stand Up Paddle-boarding. Students are provided with a wetsuit which will keep them buoyant. All our coaches are qualified beach lifeguards and SLSGB certificated.
Children must be accompanied to and from the session.
We do ask that all parents/carers are available at the beginning of their first day to help kids into their wetsuits and help them carry their equipment to and from the beach.
You must be available at the end of the session to help your child change out of their wetsuit. Due to child protection laws, staff are unable to help your child with this alone.
