Regardless of your age, ability or level of fitness, our first-class instructors will have you grinning from ear-to-ear in no time. Bodyboarding has no age limits whatsoever! You can come alone, or with a few friends. Whatever you choose we aim to have loads of fun when we teach you!

WHY BODYBOARDING?

Bodyboarding is a great way to improve your body’s muscular strength while having a great time in open water. Here are some of the key health benefits:

  • Improves the muscular strength of your armsas strong directional paddling is sometimes required.
  • Develops leg muscles – with the legs initially propelling the bodyboard in the water.
  • Boosts coordination skills – due to the concentration and balance required to stay on the board.
  • Refreshes the mind – the combination of sea air and bracing for waves provide a perfect environment.
  • Helps to strengthen the cardiovascular system – with the heart and lungs working more effectively to pump oxygen round the bloodstream to the body’s muscles.

What Do The Bodyboard Lessons Consist Of?

During our lessons we will break down learning to bodyboard to make it as easy as possible for you. Our experienced instructors will start on the beach with the basics such as safety, body position, catching a wave, turning, how to gain speed, before getting you in the water whizzing across some waves! During the session we will develop a plan for your improvement leaving you with a clear and precise direction of what to do next so you can continue to improve on your bodyboarding skills.

As the instructor to student ratio is much smaller we get to spend more time one-on-one with you and are able to provide more direct feedback than we would in larger group lessons. This helps your bodyboarding skills to progress faster.

Do You Provide The Equipment?

We provide everything required to participate in the lesson. A selection of different sized bodyboards to suit both adults and children, full wetsuits, lockers, toilets, and changing facilities – located at the shop.

Please remember that safety is always our number one priority and these lessons may be cancelled at short notice if it is too dangerous to go out into the water.

When Do The Bodyboarding Lessons Take Place?

Bodyboarding Lessons run everyday, although we are limited to four sessions daily. We recommend booking in advance due to high demand
