Improver Surf Lessons

Our Improver Surf Lessons build on foundations gained in previous beginner sessions. This will help you progress your surfing to the next level. We offer 1-1 classes and small groups.

What Do The Improver Surf Lessons Consist Of?

The focus of the Improver Surf Lessons often begins to move towards looking at the best paddling techniques, refining the pop-up and understanding board control. If you’re comfortable catching waves and popping to your feet we will then typically include tuition on the following topics:

• Wave selection,

• Angled take offs,

• Turning,

• Linking Turns,

• Trimming along green waves,

During the Improver Surf Lessons our coaches will tailor a plan for you. This will leave you with a clear and precise direction of what to do next.

As the instructor to student ratio is much smaller we get to spend more time one-on-one with you and are able to provide more direct feedback than we would in larger groups. This helps your surfing skills to progress faster.

All our instructors are accredited by Surfing England (The UK’s National Governing Body). First Aid Trained and DBS Checked.

Do You Provide The Equipment?

We provide everything required to participate in the lesson. A selection of different sized foam and hardboards, full wetsuits, lockers, toilets, and changing facilities – located at the shop.

Please remember that safety is always our number one priority and these lessons may be cancelled at short notice if it is too dangerous to go out into the water.

WHEN DO THE IMPROVER LESSONS TAKE PLACE?

Improver Lessons run everyday, although we are limited to four sessions daily. We recommend booking in advance due to high demand.
