Dexters Surf Shop is regarded as the premier place to learn to surf in the North. For well over a decade the shop itself has overlooked the best swell on the North East Coast. Open all year, we are proud to be one of only a handful of UK based surf schools to offer walk in adaptive surfing.
Our Surfing England accredited school provides surf, paddleboard, kayak, and bodyboard lessons for all ages and abilities. We also provide equipment rental all year round.
Water-sports clubs are run daily, along with coastal SUP & kayak tours which are a must!
In January 2025 the shop had a major refurb and now offers private changing rooms both up and downstairs, toilets, lockers, and multiple seating areas. In the store itself new and used surfboards are for sale, plus a vast range of accessories and clothing from leading brands such as ION, Vissla, NorthCore, Huub, and Old Man Jones Surf Co.
So why not adjust your own personal boundaries like so many have done before? Maybe just learn something new.
