Great value overnight hire on Scarborough’s truly stunning North Bay. Dexters Surf Shop offers the best quality equipment saving you the expense of having to buy your own kit! Our aim is to share our love of the ocean with you in a way that is convenient and affordable. Booking overnight hire gives you an opportunity to view our remarkable sunsets and sunrises from any of the local bays! If you just want a late night paddle, or maybe an early morning ‘dawnie’ we’ve got you covered!

WHAT EQUIPMENT DO YOU PROVIDE?

Surfboards – We offer a great range of boards. These include:

Swell, single fin, which are fully ‘soft’ and therefore ideal for beginners / novices – 8/7/6ft

Sola & Ryd, thruster set up, heavy duty – perfect for those who require more volume – 8ft

Longboards – We offer a range of TORQ / NSP / RYD / ABC – 9’6/ 9’4 /9’2 / 9’0 / 8’0 / 7’6 boards. Proven classics for swooping bottom turns, high trim lines and drop knee cutbacks. An easy board to trim on the wave and dynamic when riding off the tail. Perfect for beginners / intermediates. Plus a selection of other rides for those more advanced.

Paddleboards – Our Fanatic Fly Air 10’8 SUP’s have great tilt stability which is ideal for beginners. These stable all-rounders are perfect for flatwater and small swells. They offer generous volume and give fantastic bite when riding waves.

Kayaks – Our sit-on- top / double kayaks are designed to offer extra stability in their width. Perfect for beginners, summer days, and having fun. They are stable, safe, and easy to use – so you won’t need any previous experience.

Bodyboards – Our bodyboard fleet is constructed from durable foam making them an ideal choice for beginner riders. Suitable for all ages they are extremely buoyant and great fun in the surf. We have various sizes available for both adults and children. Being soft, risk of injury is minimised.

Wetsuits – All of our hire suits are made by Ion. They are a minimum of 5/4mm thick and will keep you warm for whatever the North Sea throws at you! We have sizes which range from Jr Age 4 to Adult 5XL.

Boots – Our boots are 5mm zipped. They are super warm and have highly durable soles with extra grip. We have sizes which range from JXXS Kids – 13 Adult.

Gloves – The Sola 5 Finger 5mm wetsuit gloves we offer are wind resistant. Their sealed seams and pre-formed cuffs are designed to limit water ingress.

Hoods – We provide Vissla North Seas 3mm cold water hoods. These detachable, thermal lined hoods will feel snug and lighter.

What should I bring?

Our surf shop is positioned on the beachfront. We have newly refurbished changing rooms, toilets, and free lockers to keep your belongings safe while you’re in the water but these will be closed overnight!

(Overnight hire needs to leave a form of identification with us)

Must be returned by 10.30am Next Day.
